President's Message

Happy New Year, to all of the llama lovers and enthusiasts out there. We are starting out 2010 with a bang, your Board of Directors have been working feverishly to bring you more events and outings this year.
Check out our amazing new web site. Barney McClung has worked very hard on the website for us this year, besides already working on the State Fair show.
Please check out the calendar that Barney has posted. We have a printable page, so you can put it on your fridge.
We moved the venue for our Membership Meeting to contain costs, but we have not reduced the amount of information and quality. Come share your knowledge and visit with friends on Saturday, March 6th.
SO, WHAT IS YOUR NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION?
The seasonally-appropriate meaning of resolution is to make a firm decision to do something…usually to lose weight, make/save more money, learn to cart drive with your llama or attend more llama hikes. The irony is that New Year’s resolutions are almost anything but firm, this ruins the reputation of that poor, but well intentioned word.
The word, resolve, also means to solve difficulties, to settle an argument, dispel doubts and to change. What does this mean for our goals and how would we be more motivated to stay on track to meeting them if we applied these definitions to what we set out to accomplish in 2010?
I want to hear from the membership; how we at CAL-ILA made you happy; how we made you sad. Ideas make the organization grow. Six, eight or even ten people cannot think up all the cool stuff we could be doing with our llamas. We need an entire Village.
