Cal-ILA - Llama Organization
CAL-ILA is a nonprofit unincorporated association that promotes the education of the Association’s members and the public in the caring for, breeding and raising of llamas and other camelids. We are committed to supporting, promoting and developing Youth related llama activities.
CAL-ILA supports and promotes Camelid research. We work through cooperative efforts with other associations, organizations and groups to meet these objectives.
This web site is devoted to that mission. We hope you enjoy learning why llamas are so special and how they can change your life.
Dear CAL-ILA member,
Your Board of Directors are hard at work planning the Annual Membership meeting to be held March 14, 2009.
We are considering asking Cathy Spalding, www.gentlespiritllamas.com, an international llama behavioral expert to be the keynote speaker. Her topics would be:
1. Llama behavior and behavioral cues
2. The anatomy of the llama head and how it plays a part in their health
3. Body Language and communication
The Board of Directors would like you to respond immediately as to your interest in Ms. Spalding as a speaker. A simple yes or no by August 18, 2008 is required to give sufficient time to book her for our CAL-ILA Davis membership meeting. Please email your answer to joy@blackcatranch.net or Greg@Mysticallamas.com.
Thank you,
CAL-ILA Board of Directors
