Cal-ILA - Septemer 2006
American River Cleanup

On Saturday September 16th a group of Cal ILA volunteers met at the American River Parkway to participate in the annual Great American River Clean-Up. Cal ILA sponsors a mile on the parkway and our members and llamas all helped to make this natural resource a little nicer for visitors. We picked up a lot of trash and assorted items but the prize for most unusual find goes to Kathy Nichols for her lime green squirt gun. With her new weapon she was waiting for a llama to spit so she could shoot back.
Everyone had a great time and a big Cal ILA thanks to all the participants: Greg Sykes, Suzann Penry, Margaret Rici, Kathy Nichols, Lee and Linda Beringsmith and of course our llamas some who were very good and a few who were a bit challenging.
