This hike is usually scheduled for the Saturday of
Easter Weekend. This year (2010) Easter falls on
the 4th. Keep you calendars clear as EstherSue

Mark the date on your calendar. Everyone is invited to the
Heritage Place for the Spring Celebration Llama Sale. The
Celebration Classic (a double Open Show and a walking fleece
show) will be held on Friday, the preview and sale on Saturday
and the World Futurity on Sunday. Don’t forget the
Celebration party at Embassy Suites Friday night—food, live
music and a no-host bar.
Look for some new and very exciting additions to the weekend’s
events. All buyers will be eligible to win the Martin Eichinger
bronze “Out for Exercise” (valued at $4,700). In
2009 the sale average for the “Top 20” was $7115 — for the “Top
50” it was $5120. The 2009 payout for the World Futurity
was $54,000. The “People’s Choice Awards”, so popular in
2009, will again be given in 2010.

CAL-ILA Spring Llama Show
Grass Valley Double Llama & Fleece Show, Grass Valley, CA - Please join
us for 14th Annual CAL-ILA Llama Show located
at the tree covered Nevada County Fairgrounds in the
historic gold country of California.
This is a double show with performance on
Saturday and halter on Sunday.
In addition there is a shorn and walking fleece
show.
The Judges will be David Allen of Texas,
Adrienne Hochee of California and
Ann Bruhn of
Colorado (Fleece).
Greg Sykes,
with his typical expertise, will prepare the meal for
Saturday evening. Treasures and bargains will abound at the silent
auction also to be held Saturday evening.

date earlier in the year. This was driven by the
first day of school getting earlier and earlier each
year. The new dates ensures that the youth will
