Cal-ILA President Message
April 2007
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that attended the CAL-ILA general meeting at U. C. DAVIS and to welcome our new members. I think a good time was had by all and a lot of information shared.
The board of directors has had some changes to it. We thank our out going members for their great service and support and know we can continue to count on them. Thank you Margaret Ricci, Suzann Penry, and Larry Luporini. Elected to the Board for this term is Joy Pedroni, Lora Crawford and Robin Hester. Dennie Hansen was re-elected and will continue to serve as CAL-ILA's treasurer, Mary Adams will carry on as secretary, with Lee Beringsmith as Vice President and Greg Sykes, President. Suzann Penry has agreed to continue on as our Webmaster. Danielle Wagner has retired as our membership director and Vicki Livingston has agreed to take over these duties. New membership applications etc. should be sent directly to Vicki. Margaret will continue to work for Cal-Ila as hard as she always has.
We have had a successful year in 2006 with lots of old and new activities for our llama community. This coming year holds the promise of being just as full of great things to do and learn in all areas of the llama world. Be sure to check the website for any upcoming events, updates on events and corrections etc. If you have any event or activity you would like to see sponsored by CAL-ILA please call any of the Board Members. We always welcome new ideas.
Our organization is only as strong as its members. Come on out to the events and participate. We always have a good time.
