California State Fair
The California State Fair Opened Thursday July 14th. The Llama and Alpaca show ran from Thursday, July 28th through Sunday, July 31st. http://www.bigfun.org

The theme for this year was "The Fun Just Got Bigger". And talking to the exhibitors at the show, the fun was bigger!
NEW FOR 2011
This was the first year that we awarded State Fair Championships for both Llamas and Alpacas! Carson Valley Caesar and Ellen Goldsmith took the Alpaca honors.
Statistics
29 exhibitors entered their llamas and alpacas in 224 classes at this year's fair. The exhibitors hailed from 9 California and 2 Nevada counties. They entered 59 Llamas and 8 Huacaya Alpacas housed in a total of 59 stalling pens. We also had 5 Youth exhibitors entered in the show!
