Parades

The old saying goes, "Everyone loves a parade," especially when there are llamas involved!  Organize your own parade or join an established production.  Parades are fun, relatively inexpensive and help to promote your farm or ranch.

Here are some up coming parades you might be interested in...

Showing Off Your Llamas!

4th of July
Nevada City
Start working on your costumes and training your llamas because CAL-ILA will be participating in the July 4th Parade in Nevada City again this year.  We hope to have a large group of beautifully costumed llamas and owners.

The parade is always held on July 4th which falls on a Sunday this year, so the start time has been moved to 2 p.m.  We will plan to meet in the designated parking spot, probably where we were two years ago, at around noon.  We really hope you can join us with you and your llamas dressed in red, white & blue.  It is always lots of fun and we are very appreciated by the crowds.  Final details will be sent out in June.  Please RSVP to the DeHarts and give us a call if you have any questions:  Ken & Karen DeHart  530-432-5246

Marysville Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011
Marysville, CA

Hey you parade goers, and those who have been thinking about attending one!!

Now is the time to start thinking about which costume you and your llama will wear at the Marysville Christmas Parade this December 3rd.  With Halloween just behind us, I wanted you to have enough time to plan your costume and decorations.  As usual I don't know the parade's theme, but anything related to Christmas, except Santa himself, is just fine.  It can be a challenge to find the battery operated lights and then figure out how to attach them onto your llama, so start today because the parade is just a month away!

This year will be even more special as we will be having the 4-H alpaca project group from Vacaville join us.

If you have any questions or concerns about this parade, please contact me.

Dress warmly as the evenings are chilly.  This will be our 5th time in the parade.
